On the afternoon of November 16, 2022, one of “Zhongnan Culture Translation Forum” Lecture Series sponsored by the School of Translation Studies was held in Classroom 4220T on the west campus. This lecture was given by Wang Xiaohong, a researcher from Shaanxi Zhongnan Society of Xi’an Fanyi University. Li Xianhua, associate dean of the School of English Literature & Culture, presided over the lecture, and teachers and students from the School of Translation Studies and the School of English Literature & Culture participated in this lecture.

Zhongnan Mountain is not only a masterpiece of nature, but also a collection of humanities. Wang Xiaohong launched a comprehensive interpretation of the lineage of the Zhongnan culture from five aspects: The Book of Songs and Zhongnan, han-fu and Zhongnan, Tang poetry and Zhongnan, Zhongnan sentiments of Song scholars, and Zhongnan and Scholars of Ming, Qing, and Modern Times. Wang Xiaohong suggested: “In this new historical period, the lineage of the Zhongnan culture will be as green as Zhongnan Mountain, interpreting more vivid images of life."

Through this lecture, teachers and students from the two schools became very interested in the Zhongnan culture and were willing to do more research on it, contributing to the promotion of the Zhongnan culture.
