To deepen the integration of industry and education and enhance students’employability, the Business English Department of School of English Language and Culture organized junior college students from the 2023 grade to visit
Shaanxi Alibabacloud Network Technology Co., Ltd. for a 10-day professional internship from May 26, 2025. Guided by the principle of “connecting theory with industry and empowering careers through practice,” this internship aims to help students anticipate employment trends, clarify career positioning, andmaster cutting-edge skills in cross-border e-commerce through immersive
industry experience.
To ensure the smooth implementation of the internship, the Business English Department held a mobilization meeting for the 2023 junior college business English majors on the afternoon of May 21. GaoYu, the internship supervisor, detailed the corporate culture, business scope of Shaanxi Alibabacloud Network Technology Co., Ltd., and the specific arrangements for the internship, with a focus on safety precautions, corporate rules and regulations, and professional etiquette during the internship. In hismobilization speech, Director Zhang Guojian encouraged students to cherish the internship opportunity, not only to deeply learn professional knowledge and skills but also to actively observe the company’s operation model, improve professional literacy and cross-departmental communication skills, and
accumulate work experience in practice to lay a solid foundation for future
career development.
At the beginning of the internship, Liu Xiaona, the company’s business manager, delivered a themed session on “Cross-Border E-Commerce andTIKTOK Operations Introduction.” Through case analysis and interactive Q&A, she systematically introduced TIKTOK’s platform rules, user demographics, and content creation logic to the students, and analyzed the strategic value of cross-border live streaming in brand globalization in combination with current cross-border e-commerce trends. Subsequently, Li Yina, the company’s business general manager, deeply analyzed TIKTOK’s global market size, regional competitive landscape, technological innovation dynamics, and future development trends based on the latest industry data. Through a full-process demonstration of “building a cross-border live streaming account from scratch,” she enhanced students’ in-depth understanding and practical capabilities in Alibaba International Station and TIKTOK operations.
During the following days of the internship, students carried out group-based live streaming drills for cross-border e-commerce, completing processes such as live streaming planning, product selection analysis, script writing, on-camera presentation, and data review. Enterprise mentors provided full guidance, offering targeted coaching for issues such as insufficient on-camera performance and inaccurate product selling point extraction. Students applied business English communication skills and cross-cultural marketing theories learned in class to practice, launching creative plans around themes such as “going global with Chinese traditional cultural products” and “promoting Shaanxi characteristic agricultural products.” Among them, the “Shaanxi Paper-Cutting Art Cross-Border Live Streaming” received high praise from enterprise mentors. After each day’s internship, students actively consulted General Manager Li on professional issues encountered during the internship. Li provided detailed answers from aspects such as industry development trends and career interest cultivation, helping students further clarify their career positioning and sort out their career development paths.
This internship benefited from the high attention and meticulous organization of both the school and the enterprise. During the internship, the two parties had in-depth exchanges on deepening school-enterprise cooperation and reached a preliminary intention to jointly build a “cross-border e-commerce talent practice base.” They plan to carry out multi-level cooperation in curriculum development, training projects, and employment guidance in the future to jointly cultivate composite and application-oriented professionals meeting the needs of the cross-border e-commerce industry.
After the internship, students stated that this internship not only improved their practical skills in cross-border e-commerce live streaming but also deepened their understanding of industry needs and development prospects and clarified their own strengths and weaknesses. In the future, School of English Language and Culture will continue to rely on the school-enterprise cooperation platform to provide students with more practical opportunities close to industry frontiers, helping students move steadily forward on their career development paths.
